Cloud & AI Pre-Sales at Saudi Arabia's Leading Cloud Provider
Technical pre-sales and solution engineering at SITE — Saudi Arabia's national sovereign cloud platform. Architecting enterprise cloud and AI solutions for the Kingdom's most demanding buyers: government entities, financial institutions, and regulated enterprises operating under Vision 2030.
About SITE
SITE is Saudi Arabia's leading sovereign cloud provider — built specifically for the Kingdom's regulatory environment, data residency requirements, and Vision 2030 transformation agenda. Unlike global hyperscalers operating Saudi regions, SITE is a national platform: built in Saudi Arabia, operated in Saudi Arabia, and designed around the compliance frameworks that KSA enterprise buyers actually have to meet.
The platform spans sovereign cloud infrastructure through to a full sovereign AI stack — LLM inference, embedding models, reranking, vision, vector store, and document parsing — all hosted within Saudi borders with no data leaving the Kingdom. For regulated industries, this isn't a differentiator; it's often the only viable path.
What I Do
My role sits at the intersection of technical depth and commercial delivery. I work across the full pre-sales cycle — from initial customer discovery through solution architecture, compliance positioning, and proposal delivery.
- Solution Architecture: Translate customer requirements into deployable architectures on SITE's sovereign cloud. This means understanding the customer's compliance posture, workload profile, and integration requirements — then designing solutions that are technically sound and operationally realistic. Engagements span cloud infrastructure (compute, networking, storage), managed services, and AI workloads.
- AI Services Pre-Sales: SITE's sovereign AI platform is a significant differentiator — particularly for government, finance, and healthcare clients where data cannot leave the Kingdom. I help clients understand and scope AI use cases: LLM inference deployments, RAG pipelines using embedding, vector store, and reranking, document intelligence workflows, and multimodal vision use cases. I work with customers from initial idea through to a scoped, costed solution.
- RFP / RFQ Response: Own the technical response for competitive tenders — requirements analysis, solution scoping, architecture documentation, and BoQ / SoW preparation. KSA government and enterprise procurement is complex; getting the technical narrative right matters as much as the price.
- Regulatory & Compliance Positioning: A recurring theme across KSA enterprise sales is compliance — NCA, SAMA, PDPL. I help clients understand exactly how SITE's sovereign model addresses these requirements, and structure proposals to make the compliance story clear to procurement and legal stakeholders, not just technical ones.
- Customer Discovery & Technical Advisory: A large part of pre-sales is diagnosis. I spend significant time in discovery — understanding where a customer's current infrastructure sits, what's actually painful, and whether the solution being discussed will hold up in production. Customers get a more honest answer; SITE gets solutions that actually get deployed.
Platform Scope
Services I design and sell solutions across
SOVEREIGN CLOUD
Cloud Infrastructure
Compute, networking, storage, and managed services — hosted entirely within Saudi Arabia, aligned to NCA and SAMA requirements.
SOVEREIGN AI
LLM Inference & Embedding
General-purpose and specialised language models plus embedding generation — fully in-Kingdom, no data crossing borders.
SOVEREIGN AI
Reranking & Vector Store
Managed vector indexing, semantic search, and reranking — the core infrastructure for production RAG pipelines at enterprise scale.
SOVEREIGN AI
Vision & Document Parsing
Multimodal models for image understanding and visual reasoning, plus document intelligence for unstructured content — enabling regulated AI workflows.
COMPLIANCE
Accelerated Compliance
Built-in NCA, SAMA, and PDPL alignment — reducing the compliance overhead for regulated buyers compared to adapting a hyperscaler deployment.
INFRASTRUCTURE
Dedicated Region
Tier 4 data centres within Saudi Arabia — data sovereignty as a platform-level guarantee, not a configuration option customers have to engineer themselves.
Why This Role
The KSA cloud market is at an inflection point. Vision 2030 is driving enterprise digitalisation at pace, regulators are tightening data residency requirements, and the market for sovereign AI is forming in real time. Being at SITE — the platform built specifically for this moment — means working on some of the most technically interesting and commercially significant cloud decisions being made in the Kingdom.
Pre-sales in this context isn't order-taking. Customers are making multi-year infrastructure decisions with regulatory and operational consequences. The value I bring is grounding those decisions in technical reality — having operated large-scale cloud environments at Alrajhi Bank and Banque Misr means I understand what actually breaks in production, what customers are usually underestimating, and what a good solution looks like before it reaches deployment.
